World News Asia from Atlanta

At 1400gmt, CNNI's World News Asia is coming live from Atlanta, with Colleen McEdwards at the helm. This may have been the case earlier today and this week, but I haven't seen much CNNI at all recently as I'm on vacation in Scotland.

No, it's not. Anjali Rao has been anchoring WNA from HK, but with the earthquake yesterday, some cables that connect Asia to rest of the world broke, and seems that CNN is impossible to broadcast live, once WN after AC360 was also from London with Richard Quest - from the old newsroom, and the 1st WNA with Max Foster.

And now CNN Today Asia is being anchored by Isha Sesay from Atlanta. I just wonder how long this will last, once experts are saying that could take at least two weeks to have these cables fixed.

They did CNN TOday from Atlanta too, it must be the effect of earthquakes, as you said.

Thank you so much guys for keeping this item up to date.

I was at my family home in Scotland so didn't see much CNNI at all, so I was quite out of touch with what was happening.

I wonder why it is so difficult to use the new set in London for unscheduled use, like Hugo mentioned. Hugo, was Richard Quest at the ex-temporary position of the London newsroom, or the original position of the newsroom?

Anyway, once again thank you for your contributions - much appreciaited!

Hey Stephen, he was at the ex-temporary postition.
I guess they don't use it because can be a little complex to turn on all the plasmas and, specially, the big TV wall of the studio (or it uses to much electricity :P). But that's just a guess.
