Todd Benjamin Leaves CNN International

First on CNN Observations: CNN International Financial Editor Todd Benjamin is no longer with the network, a spokesperson confirmed to us this morning. His left the network a couple of weeks ago.

Benjamin joined CNN in 1982 convering the US Federal Reserve in Washington, DC before moving to New York, Tokyo, and ultimately London.

He joined CNN from a local television station in Phoenix, Arizona.

That´s a pitty. He was most of the times right. Does anybody know where he is now?

Todd called it like it is and didn't have the stomach for the BS showmanship (i.e. Richard Quest) that news people are suppose to exude these days to boost ratings – irrespective of how the may diminish the quality of reporting. He called the financial crisis ahead of virtually all others in his profession, but because it didn’t offer a positive spin to viewers I imagine management showed him the cold shoulder.

is Todd still alive. I heard he was very sick. confirm? he is a very good person and i always liked him on CNN. i think he got cancer, he was looking thin in 2008....

Yes, Todd is still alive! Now he moderates conferences all around the world.
