Clarification on New CNNI Programming
As we posted earlier, changes are coming to CNN International. A tipster recently posted on CNNFan.org about some of those impending changes:
“The following will be the lead anchors for the new shows...
Richard Quest: The new lead Business anchor
Becky Anderson: Show linking stories across the world
Fionnula Sweeney: Focussing on one on one interviews and world news
Christiane Amanpour: Show based on forums and round tables with world leaders and high brow interviewees.”
CNN Observations followed up with CNN and received this response:
“In the coming months CNN International will roll out some new shows in the primetime block for Europe. These will include business and interview-style formats as well as those with a daily news focus. We have yet to formally announce these shows but yes, Christiane Amanpour will be one of the anchors. Also, these new shows will come from London, Atlanta and New York.”
