CNN International Scoops 5 Gongs At Asia Television Awards
CNN International was named Cable & Satellite Channel of the Year and Cable & Satellite Network of the Year at the 2011 Asia Television Awards on Thursday. In total, the network nabbed five awards with other wins including:- Best News Presenter or Anchor: Anna Coren (World Report)
- Best Single News Story / Report: Bangladesh Begging Boy (reported by Sara Sidner)
- Best Social Awareness Programme: The CNN Freedom Project: Nepal's Stolen Children
CNN International's Talk Asia missed out on the award for Best Talk Show, but was highly commended by the judging panel.
